Pakistan to Host T20 Series Against New Zealand in April as World Cup Preparation

Pakistan is gearing up to host a crucial T20 series against New Zealand in April as part of their preparations for the upcoming World Cup. A PCB official has confirmed that discussions are underway with New Zealand Cricket (NZC) to finalize the dates and venues for the series, with a tentative window set from April 13 to 24. The matches are expected to be held in Lahore and Rawalpindi, as Karachi will be busy hosting a series between Pakistan and West Indies women’s teams during the same period.

This T20 series holds significant importance for Pakistan as they look to fine-tune their skills ahead of the T20 World Cup later this year. The team has been actively involved in various international fixtures recently, including a recent five-match T20 series against New Zealand that ended in favor of the visitors with a 4-1 victory. Following the conclusion of the Pakistan Super League, the national squad is scheduled to engage in additional T20 matches against Afghanistan, New Zealand, and England leading up to the World Cup set to take place in June across USA and West Indies.
